There are a variety of wood options for smoking meat and it can be very overwhelming to choose one. The decision ultimately boils down to personal preference. I created the above chart to help guide you along the way of choosing your smoking wood. I tend to use lighter and more subtle woods like Oak, Post Oak, and Pecan, but I always recommend experimenting with different woods to see what excites your palate! Enjoy!
